Hi, I’m Jo Perrott, founder of the Ladies Working Dog Group (LWDG).

Like many of the women I now support, my journey into gundog training didn’t follow a perfect plan. In 2016, after facing serious health challenges, I found strength, structure, and a whole lot of healing through training my dogs, Bob and then Jess.

That personal experience sparked something much bigger.

I created the LWDG to offer women what I needed most back then — calm, clear support without judgement. A space where it’s okay not to know everything, and where training isn’t about pressure, but progress.

Since then, LWDG has grown into a community of over 700+ members — each one learning at their own pace, asking honest questions, and building incredible relationships with their dogs.
